Woo Hoo!

Well the weather got a little cooler today with a hint of wind so I headed outside. I did a little weeding in the flower beads, in the shade, and that went OK. So I got a little ambitious and mowed the lawn. That's right I said mowed the lawn! Woo Hoo! I know most of you are thinking I am nuts. If you know me at all you also know I am! But really this was a big accomplishment for me. Since I had gotten down so much I hadn't worked since Easter and had to give up scouts and church duties. A month ago I got an adjustment on my pacemaker to keep my rate up and I have been feeling better so I gave it a try. And I don't mean to pat my own back or anything, but PAT, PAT! Seriously I am very thankful to be able to do anything at all and to be able to mow the lawn is a very big thing. I did have to take a few breaks and I looked pretty rough when I got done, but my heart rate was 108! And this is a good thing considering it keeps wanting to stay down at 60. So thank you dear Lord for all the blessings!!!! Today my oldest son turned thirteen today and I am also thankful that I have him in my life. He and his brother both are true blessings and most of the time a joy to have around. So until later hug your children, thank the Lord for them, and get out and get going. You never know when you may not be able to.

  1. I love reading your blog. Very inspirational!
I'm glad that you were feeling up to mowing..but still take it easy! Can't be too careful! I'm still re-cuping from cancer in my eye, so I know how it feels to feel better! Thanks for sharing! God Bless!
